Is Sunshine Stables a full or self care boarding facility?We are a self care facility, meaning the horse owner is responsible for ALL care of the horse - this includes feeding and pen cleaning. We are happy to make accommodations for those who live out of town or when boarders leave for vacation (at cost).

Is there a place to keep my trailer and horse gear if I board?Yes! There is plenty of room on the property to keep your trailer, as well as a locked tack room for safekeeping.

When does the lesson program run?Lessons generally start at the end of the school year and run through the summer months. After school riding lessons can be arranged into the fall, weather and light pending :)

Do I have to have my own horse to ride in the lesson program?No! If you have your own horse, you are welcome to ride it during your lessons. Otherwise, the Stables will provide you a safe and trusted horse to enjoy.

What riding discipline do you teach?We want each student to have an understanding of the basic fundamentals of riding western. Once we reach that point, if a student expresses interest in a particular area such as barrel racing or Omoksee, we can spend some time focusing on that!
